As the Chief Executive Officer, Steve is responsible for the overall operations of the Finger Lakes EDC. Steve has over 12 years of business experience across multiple industries including 5 years as Executive Vice President of Business Development for the Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC). During that time, Steve assisted 150 businesses expand or locate in Genesee County and invest over $250 million. Prior to the GCEDC, Steve lived in the Washington D.C. area working in the technology sector leading the sales and marketing divisions of several successful start-up internet service and network security providers though their initial public offerings and acquisition from larger providers including MCI and Symantec Corporation. Steve serves as the President of the Rochester Finger Lakes Regional Development Corporation, is an executive committee member of the Genesee Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council as well as numerous other regional and local development committees. Steve received his MBA from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science degree from Niagara University.
Doreen has been with the Finger Lakes EDC since 1990 and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Assistant. Prior to FLEDC, she worked for the Yates County Economic Development & Planning Office. Doreen is responsible for all financial records for the agency and for the management of Keuka Business Park, the FLEDC’s 100,000sf multi-tenant facility.
As the Empire Zone Coordinator Ryan is responsible for implementing and managing the Empire Zone program for Yates County. Reporting directly to the CEO of the FLEDC, Ryan works with public and private sector representatives in Yates County utilizing Empire Zone incentives to assist in business expansion/recruitment and revitalization strategies. Ryan has been a life long resident of Penn Yan where he grew up on his family farm. For the past two years Ryan was a Community Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension in Schuyler County. Prior to his employment at the FLEDC he served as a Planning Board member for the Town of Milo. Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart College.
Mr. Bailey is President of Keuka Appraisal Services, Inc., providing commercial and residential real estate appraisal services throughout Upstate New York.
Mr. Fitch is a director for Bank of the Finger Lakes and is the former owner of F&W Parts, an automotive supply business that he operated from 1973-1999. He is a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. He also served in the US Army in Italy. Mr. Fitch serves as a member of the Yates County Legislature. He is also former chairman of Finger Lakes Health and was a former chairman of Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital. He currently is on the board of Healthcare Trustees of New York State. He has participated in numerous other community and civic roles.
Mr. Hiller serves as VP of Finance and Administration at Keuka College. Prior to his role at Keuka College, Mr. Hiller was the City Manager for the City of Watertown, NY.
Mr. Densmore recently retired from Birds Eye Foods where he was the Senior Director of Packaging Innovation. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Rochester Institute of Technology's Department of Packaging Science Masters' degree program.
Mr. Corcoran spent more than 31 years with Chemical Bank and its successor organization, JP Morgan Chase, both in New York City and overseas. He is currently President of the Keuka Lake Association and Treasurer of Lakeside Country Club.
Mr. Long owns Long's Cards & Books in Penn Yan. He has served, or is serving, on the following community boards: Yates County Chamber of Commerce, Penn Yan Public Library, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital and Yates County Community and Cultural Resources Board.
Now retired, Mr. Williams has a vast background in public sector service in Yates County, including serving as Town of Benton Supervisor and as a Yates County Legislator.
Sarah Purdy has been the Yates County Administrator for 14 years. Prior to coming to Yates County she worked in local government in New Jersey, Illinois and Kansas. Sarah served as President of the New York State Association of County Administrators and Managers for eight years, has been on the Board of Directors of the New York State Association of Counties since 2003 and will become President of the Board in September. She has a bachelor's degree from Smith College and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Kansas.
Mike Linehan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Yates County Chamber of Commerce. Born in Hammondsport, NY, Mike settled in Penn Yan, NY over twenty years ago after spending several years in the state of Colorado. He has been involved in the hospitality/tourism industry since then. Mike is a member of: the Keuka College Community Associates Board; NYS Travel and Vacation Association where he serves as past president and treasurer; American Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives; Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital Foundation Advisory Committee; Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks; Loyal Order of Moose; Finger Lakes Region Tourism Promotion Agencies Advisory Board; and the Chamber Alliance of New York State.
John is a Vice-President at Five Star Bank, working out of the Penn Yan branch. He is a commercial and agricultural lender covering Yates, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Livingston counties. Five Star Bank has 50 branches in Western New York and 72 ATM's and $2 Billion in assets. John has been at Five Star since 2003, prior to that he worked at Dairy Business Communications. He also was Executive Manager of the New York Holstein Association for 3 years and operated a Registered Holstein dairy farm in Livingston and Yates counties for 25 years.
Ann is the Superintendent of Penn Yan Central School District. Ann is in her fourth year in Penn Yan Schools. Prior to coming to Penn Yan, she served in administrative and teaching positions for over thirty years at Southern Cayuga CSD, Clyde-Savannah CSD, and Geneva City Schools, as well as SUNY Cortland and Hobart William Smith Colleges. Ann currently serves on the Finger Lakes Health Board and is a member of Penn Yan Lions Club. She has also participated in other community activities and various organizations.
Doug Roll is the Plant Manager of AES Greenidge and has over 20 years experience in the power generation business in areas of plant management, engineering, design, construction and start-up of fossil fuel-fired power plants. Mr. Roll holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Queens College of the City University of New York. Mr. Roll is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of New York.
A lifelong resident of Yates County, Jeff has been with the Village of Penn Yan Police Department for 20 years and has been President of the Penn Yan Central School District Board of Education for the past 5 years.
Jim is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and has been a certified public accountant since 1969. After an apprenticeship with a Rochester CPA firm he spent his earlier career as a controller for small and medium sized businesses. In 1986 he returned to public practice and opened an office in Penn Yan. With his background working with the owners of small businesses, Jim brings an entrepreneurial approach to his role of financial and tax advisor.
